Paris? Anyone?

Hey there everyone! I am going to Paris for a few days in November and would love to find out if any of you know of cool or must go to places or shops that I won't find in any of the travel books or websites? If you know of anything, please pass it on by leaving a comment or sending me an email. Thank you so much!

I have no actual advice, but I did notice when stocking up on new notebooks that Moleskine makes travel guides. They are super neat looking and they had one for Paris. I'm sure it's great, because what's better than a Moleskine? Have a great trip!! Jealous!

Definitely go to Papier+ - the most amazing shop for papers and journals - www.papierplus.com. And if you've never been - Angelina's on Rue de Rivoli is a total Paris treat...imagine hot chocolate that doesn't pour, but oozes from the pot and then glob on a huge dollop of french cream. It's amazing!

Really you have to go to Colette.
It's at the Rue Saint Honoré and it's a great design/fashion/trend shop/gallery.
For a nice diner and dance afterwards go to Favela chic. This is a Brazilian restarant/club. And very nice to mingle with the locals. Rue du Faubourg du Temple.

Have fun, Paris is great!

You must buy the Wallpaper guide. They are my favorite for travel. When I moved to Copenhagen I picked on up and have been ticking the amazing things off week by week that I get to.

When I move around, I always have one. They let you know some interesting places that usually turn out to be amazing!

My favorite shop is Fleux (39 rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie - 75004)...it is amazing...so much to see for your home!
I know they are chains, but I always make a stop at Zara Home and Habitat (two shops we can't explore here in NYC)...they are soooo much better in person than online.

You must make a stop at Laduree...it really is such a beautiful place. The Laduree Bonaparte (21 rue Bonaparte, Saint-Germain-des-Prés district) is my favorite...get a table upstairs in the blue room for tea and sweets.

When in Paris, we always stay at the Hotel Brittanique (http://www.hotel-britannique.fr/English/Frameset.html)...great location and rooms on the 5th floor (street side) have balconys with tables on them...with a view of the top of the Eiffle Tower. LOVE.

I think that this is a great article with suggestions(http://travel2.nytimes.com/2006/09/24/travel/tmagazine/24coppola.html).

Oh, and a wonderful place for dinner is Robert et Louise (64, Rue Vieille du Temple, 75003 Paris, France +33 1 42 78 55 89).

Enjoy your trip!
