Sweet & Simple

I love this baby shower theme inchmark put together, so simple yet sophisticated. Red and blue is a favorite color combination of mine and it works so well as a neutral color theme; we are not finding out the sex of our baby.

A couple of my friends are throwing me a baby shower in early March and these images are very inspiring! Now all I need to do start my baby registry. It is amazing how with our wedding registry, that was one of the first things I did in the planning process. With the baby registry, it is all so foreign to me, to say I am overwhelmed is the understatement of my life! Luckily I have many experienced women in my life that can help. Maybe I will get it done this weekend...

On that note, have a lovely weekend!!!

so cute! i love that it's not baby colors. not that there are really baby colors anymore, we are so modern and everything. but still.

I can imagine your dilemma with the baby reg. I had my wedding registry planned for like 5 years so it was no problemo when it was time to do the real thing. But the baby reg, yeah, I'd be stumped too.

i love that candy! what a sweet idea for a birthday party or bridal shower, too. (or valentines day!)

the intimidating part of a baby registry is that you're preparing for a new life that is completely different from what you know. but that's the exciting part too! and baby booties are certainly a lot cuter than a non-stick sautee pan....

The baby registry has totally stumped me! All I want to do is buy the fun cute things that I don't really need, it's the necessities that are so hard!

And Cats, you are right, baby booties certainly are cuter than a non-stick sautee pan!

I understand.. the first time I went to register for our baby I walked in and right back out again I was so overwhelmed. One thing we were given that I absolutely love is our SVAN high chair. Its attractive, well made and a nice small scale. We have it in the cherry finish with a black seat pad and the tray cover. The seat pad comes off very easily to throw in the wash.

The other things I really used/use are a bouncy seat, her little bath tub and CLOTHES. She is 9 1/2 months old and already on her 4th wardrobe! I really regret not having a moby wrap while she was really little.

Good Luck.. and have fun. I say get the cute stuff!
