Patrick and I are off to Jamaica for a long weekend of wedding planning! I was hoping for some beach time but our lovely wedding coordinator has us booked solid our entire stay. So to make the most of it, I have packed all of my wedding essentials: my Smythson wedding planner, a huge binder of inspiration, my Moleskin sketchbook, camera, ribbons & stationery (for color), cocktail ideas and last but not least the calculator!
After seeing this image from Rebecca Thuss' website, I knew I wanted our wedding to have a lemon theme, so the first thing I picked out was our colors; yellow, gray and white. Whether the lemons become place card holders, the centerpieces ( I'm thinking of lemon wedges in the centerpiece's water), an ingredient in the cake or special cocktails, one thing is for sure, there will be lots of lemons!
The lemon is the symbol of purity, faithfulness and love.
Have a thoughtful rest of the week everyone!

Gorgeous Curved Arm Task Lamps
What better way to read a good book or sketch a new idea next to a perfectly curved arm task lamp and a fancy one to boot.

Great Notebooks: Fashion + Fun!
For years I carried a Rhodia sketch book everywhere I went. Although they were so good to me (I have stacks and stacks of them in my archives!) I now carry my beloved Moleskin. I love the simple black leather cover with the elastic strap and the weight of the paper is perfect! It is such a classic design.
Take a peak at some of my favorite notebooks in the market.

Megan Whitmarsh
Megan Whitmarsh is one of my favorite artists. Her delicate, whimsical and inspired embroidered paintings are incredibly detailed in person. Her repetition of Yetis and Sasquatch are not only nostalgic but very modern in the rock and roll parties they inhabit.

Sweet little couple...
While browsing through a wonderful Alexander Girard book, I couldn't help but stop and scan this cute little image of this sweet little couple.
