43 years of Marriage
Yesterday was my parent's 43rd wedding anniversary. They were married back in 1968. Boy how times have changed. Looking at their wedding photos they both look cautiously happy and a little nervous. At only 19 they were getting married, expecting their first child and shortly after their wedding my Dad was drafted to Vietnam. I couldn't imagine dealing with all of that at my ripe old age of 30, yet alone at 19. But lucky for them (and my sisters and me!) everything worked out the way it was supposed to. They've had an amazing and solid marriage and I'm thankful to have them as my parents.

I Think You're Beautiful!
Nearly 10 years ago, Patrick bought me Mirror, Mirror by Joop Steenkamer, Jr. for Valentine's Day. It is one of the loveliest and most thoughtful presents I've ever received. Although Patrick didn't write these sweet and over complimentary words, I knew he felt them. Today we have the mirror hanging in our Lyla Belle's room. This is one of those presents that every time you see it, you feel special. It's a simple piece, with such an overwhelming and heartfelt message.

Feather Love
I've been considering one of these mobiles for a while now... We desperately need something behind the wall of our bed and I'm not really interested in going the headboard route or big photo route (the latter which my husband wants). I really want something light, romantic and pretty. A feather mobile would be perfect, I think.

The Dull Diamond
Hello! I hope everyone's 2011 is off to a fantastic start!
Here are some super cute ways to fancy & color up your 2011. The Dull Diamond is a new and fresh shop by Jen Murphy (bear and cake topper fame) and Emily Saunders. I'm loving the the pops of color and geometric feel of all of the pieces.
Congrats Jen & Emily!

The Gift of Rody
Do you know Rody? He's an awesome little blow-up horse for kids! Perfect for Lyla's age (20 mths) and beyond as you blow it up more as your child grows. Good times all around!

Lovely Lucky
Ah, the Danish brand Lucky Boy Sunday gets it. Their soft goodies are full of wit, color, happiness and sweetness. Browsing through their site, I smiled and wished I could hurry up and buy something for Lyla, but it appears they aren't available in the US. Please, some fabulous US merchant, hurry and stock these goodies!
